Medina Lantern · Pierced metal with rope handle

Inspired by the lanterns of North African and Middle Eastern markets, this piece is worked in dark gunmetal with bands of fine perforation and a central border of pierced medallions. When lit, the fretwork scatters a web of small points of light across the walls and ceiling, turning an ordinary evening into something softer and slower.

A thick natural rope handle adds warmth against the metal and makes it easy to carry from the dining table to the stoep. At 45 cm tall, it has enough presence to sit on the floor beside a sofa or by a doorway, as well as on a console or a mantel.

Care
Use a pillar candle in a glass holder, or an LED candle. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Dust with a soft, dry cloth.

Every GHAR piece is collected from our store at 30 Impala Road, Chislehurston, Sandton. Most orders are ready within 4 hours, and we will confirm by email the moment yours is.

We are open Monday to Friday. Bring your order confirmation, and if a piece is large, bring a vehicle that fits it. Our team will help you load.

Payment is by Visa, Mastercard, Ozow instant EFT, Apple Pay or Google Pay through our secure checkout. We do not deliver at this stage.

If you need transport for a larger piece, ask us in store and we will point you to couriers our customers have used.

If a piece is not right, return it to the store within 7 days of collection, unused and in its original condition, with proof of purchase. We will refund you to your original payment method.

Most GHAR pieces are one of one and sourced as brand overstock, end of range, ex-display or estate finds. Their condition is described honestly on each product page, and marked wear on ex-display or estate pieces is part of the piece, not a defect. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
